As I embrace 2011, saying goodbye to 2010

Year 2010 has been a good year for me and I suppose, the rest of you? It was a big stepping stone of my life. Entering Temasek Polytechnic as a freshman, being a freshie all over again was kinda fun. I had my fair share of ups and downs this year, which is good cause Life ain't a bed of roses yeah? There bound to be some obstacles met here and there. I faced many challenges from the amount of workload we have. There were project deadlines to worry, tutorials to complete and presentations to do. So you know, life in Poly isn't slack at all. Its no different from the students in Junior College. So whoever who thought that Poly life would be a breeze, you're wrong.

I met awesome people in TP, you know who you people are :) They made me laugh so much, they made my life in TP good! Honestly, TP's life is very different from secondary school's life. I prefer the life in Ngee Ann Sec though. I miss 4R5'09. No kidding about that. The feeling of seeing NASS people along the corridors of the different schools in TP is... I don't know. You feel so homely the minute you see them. A whole different feeling. The coolest thing was, I waved and said Hello to people whom I've never ever talked to in my entire life during my school days in NASS. As in, we do know each other but we never talked. Isn't it nice? NASS indeed is a big family filled with awesome people! <3

I remember this year, was when XNaps was found. We spent the entire March Holidays together, hanging out practically day after day, never getting sick of each other, doing different things every single time we meet. Oh how lovely you guys are! Am very glad till now, we've still been contacting each other & our friendship is still going strong. Our 1st anniversary is actually somewhere around the corner! Thanks for everything the few of you. The surprises on my 17th & the surprises we gave to one another! <3

I experienced POL-ITE Table Tennis tournaments this year. Getting to know the Team Temasek Table Tennis team was one of the best damn thing that happened to me in 2010. We spent so much time together! We're like 1 big family. No doubt about that! The holidays were what brought us together! Always and Forever lovelies <3

Found new friends like Jeanette, Sarah, Jing Xia & Russell. Apparently, all 3 of them came from Fairfield Methodist & all live in the West side of Singapore. Yes, my 1st question to them were... "Why on Earth would you want to travel from one of Singapore to the other?!?!" Indeed. Funny people they are.

Then I had outings with the sweet sec school girls! Secrets all within ourselves. The cutest bunch of girls ever! <3 them to bits!

Guess what. MG is still going strong and steady after 5 years! Long live!

(short of 3 others tho)

Had a great time in China during Christmas & made new lovely friends there! A wonderful 9 days spent there! Met up with my china buddy whom I've not met since...2 years ago! When I was in Sec 3! What a great time spent together with her & her family. Spent Xmas Eve with her & the last few minutes of Xmas itself in the toilet with lil sis, Fionna & Frederick! The cute little kids! All so young! :)

2010 was a fruitful year! Looking forward to Year 2011 cos its gonna be much better than this year! I'm gonna cut down on my laziness, strive harder to get a better GPA, shall exercise more than this year! Ok, I can already picture 2011. Its gonna be an awesome year :) Thanks to my awesome family & friends who made my life going. xoxo

Happy New Year in advance to all!

XOXO,

Sheryl

Life is unpredictable

Training training training. My life revolves around nothing but training only.

But yesterdays gone we gotta keep moving on
I’m so thankful for the moments so glad I got to know ya
The times that we had I’ll keep like a photograph
And hold you in my heart forever
I’ll always remember you

R.I.P Mr Joseph Lim of Ngee Ann Secondary.

Although you didn't teach me before while my 4 years stay in NASS, but still I believe you have made a huge impact on each and everyone in the Ngee Ann family. May you Rest in Peace.

Our Love never dies

Sara's birthday celebration was awesome! Miss the girls so so so much! 5hours of singing wasn't even enough for all of us. The songs we dedicate to Sara, the moves we danced for her, our surprises, everything turned out well, so good that she teared on the spot. I'm proud to say, Mission Accomplished!

There were 10 different colours, we bought 9 of them! Each representing us. Gawd, I love you girls so so soooo much! Hahaha, especially when we were all screaming when each and everyone's secrets starts spilling! :) So cool, we bought watches for Si Hui, Joyce & Li Fang too! :D All the best to you 3 for your promos! Meet up again when you girls are done with your exams! We'll be waiting! Luv ya all!

Holidays are gonna end soon, which means.. the cycle of projects, presentations, studies and everything starts again.

I'm still wondering if I should buy the ticket for Halloween Horrors. Oh well oh well.. gotta get ready soon to head to Town! Meeting Sarah, gonna catch Charlie St. Cloud! Can't wait & we're gonna where we stopped last Saturday after our Pink Ribbon Walk-a-thon! Nice.

When life gets out of control,
Just let your lips roll,
Let your lips roll
whistle away the toll.
Aal Izz Well!

A day @ Pulau Ubin

What an awesome day spent with XNaps @ Pulau Ubin! The last time I went there was ages ago, I probably have not hit the 150cm mark yet. Cycling there, the slopes here and there, good work out BUT ate and drank so much there, so..the amount of calories lost were gained back, or should I say, more than what we lost. Anyway, the most exciting part was when we cycled on dirt tracks and not paved roads! Dangerous though.

Headed back to mainland and went to Ian's place to just sit and relax after a loooooong day over @ the countryside. Watched The Notebook with them, then Dad came to pick me so..we could head straight for dinner.

I'm so drained out! It has been so long since I last cycled, my butt's gonna hurt tomorrow plus my muscle's definitely gonna ache. Okay, hopefully my muscles won't ache cause there's gonna be more trainings next week! I can't wait for training camp tho I think I'm gonna suffer and die cause its gonna be so intensive I might faint.

Anyway, this camera is so pretty, its like I have to have it.

Because the world keeps spinning around

Bladed with Sarah @ ECP today! Though we had to wait for the rain to subside for 1 hour, it was nice sitting by the bench, chit chatting & me doing the special magic on her. Freaky wasn't it Sarah? Hehehe. Anyway, it was nice blading under the drizzle. Funniest was when we saw the whole group of army guys marching then they were singing their cheers & suddenly, they sang the "dui mian de..(continue it yourself)". Awesome blading time!

Took a bus to Ion for our dinner & walked around hunting for Sarah's slippers & Sarah, my slippers fetish over already.

"I've not bladed for nearly 2 years already"

Facebook me is the new IN thing.

You can count on me like 1, 2, 3

Impromptu shopping with Nette today! Shopped @ Vivo, then bus-ed to Queensway shopping centre, then walked to Anchorpoint then bus-ed to Town. I never thought I would go back to Anchorpoint since there's nothing there except all the factory outlet stores. The last time I was there was when I was working @ Mercedes Benz for that few days. Oh well, good to be back @ that area.

Bought what I needed, feeling so great now! Can't wait for mooncake festival cause we'ld go grandma's house, drink tea, carry lanterns, admire the moon. How nice right?

Shopping is so fun, cause its like training. You don't think about anything else but focus on shopping itself. Ain't that good? Though your $ decreases but at least your mood increases and whats more important than being happy? But you know.. its human nature to be greedy. So, I can never say I have enough clothes or stuffs. Its just, the more the merrier.

You can count on me like 1 2 3
I’ll be there

And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4 3 2
And you’ll be there
Cause that’s what friends are supposed to do

My week was awesome, what about yours?

On Monday, finally had a gathering with Xnaps! So I swam alone cause the rest of them were busily mahjong-ing @ YX's house. Finally a change, instead of ICC, we moved on to Udders Ice Cream @ Siglap after having dinner @ Parkway. Sadly Walter has to mug for his promos.

On Tues, Sarah & I finally went out! The last time the both of us actually went out was.. orientation?! MONTHS ago! Laughed so much that day, laughed till I teared, we pretending going into the shops @ FEP. We weren't even looking @ the clothes or whatever, cause we simply had too much to catch up. So glad the both of us finally found the time to go out! The both of us taking part in Pink Ribbon Marathon! We signed up for the walk instead tho, so we continue our chats. Hehehe. After doing our nails & FEP-ing, we made our way to Holland V to have dinner together with Nette & LR. Holland V's nice @ night! :)

Wednesday was spent with Team Temasek! BBQ @ Ting Hui's place! Had an awesome time playing "Go jump go, go jump back" & "Heart Attack" !!! Okay, our seniors didn't play these games before, so it was really amusing watching their reactions & everything. FUN!

Thursday? Celebrated Keane's & Daph's birthday @ Taka's Seoul Garden! After that, met Nette @ Botanical Gardens for some photography day out & dinner was @ her place. So thankful Dad was willing to pick me up from her house. FYI, she stays EXTREMELY FAR from my area. Like, damn far. Glad.

Today? Stayed home finishing the dramas I rented. Time to head down to the dvd shop again! :) Anyway, I finally bought the book I wanted to buy! Norwegian Wood. So far so good :)
